The path of acquisition of Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Medical College, located in the fort of Chhattisgarh, has now been cleared. Congress Government of the Region on Thursday (29 July 2021) Passed the College Acquisition Bill from the Legislative Assembly.
The BJP has also strongly opposed this. whereas, State Health Minister TS Singhdev has called it an act of public interest.Chandulal Chandrakar Medical College Acquisition Bill-2021 was introduced in the House by Health Minister TS Singhdev.
He has stated the main objective of introducing this bill to protect the interests of the students. The minister said that it normally takes 3-4 years to build a medical college, But according to him, work can start on the infrastructure of this college.
The Health Minister has revealed that about 140 crore rupees will have to be spent every year to run this institution. Along with this, he told the Medical College in Durg and Bilaspur that the cost of these two colleges is 200-200 crores per year.
He also said,If Jai-Viru’s pair is together, you are suffering. In response, BJP leader Shivratan Singh said, “Let me tell you the pair of Jai-Viru or Veeru-Gabbar. Do not know, How is Jai??”
Sincerely: Nai Duniya
According to the New World report, the main opposition BJP had demanded a vote for amendment on it during discussion in the House, but the opposition’s amendment proposal fell by 56 votes against 16.
Why the debt-ridden college acquired??
While targeting the Bhupesh Baghel government regarding this bill, former CM Dr. Raman Singh asked how the plan for the acquisition of a debt-ridden medical college was made when it became clear from the budget that the state’s economic condition was crispy?
He said that there is no student interest in it anywhere. This medical college has already been accused of fraud and also has a debt of 125 crore rupees
Significantly, there is a dispute regarding Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Medical College fort, Because the family owns the college, In which Baghel’s daughter is married. CM Bhupesh Baghel’s daughter Divya is married to Horizon Chandrakar, nephew of Mangal Prasad Chandrakar. Horizon is also the chairman of the Chhattisgarh unit of ‘All India Professional Congress’
